We had a special visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile today in town. It was GREAT having that classic icon in our small town! I’ve been to the Weatherly Police Station a couple times. The tiny room is cramped even when you’re in there with a single officer. So the issue was brought up at the Concil meeting by Norman Richie.
Everyone can agree that the police do work hard for Weatherly, and the size of their closet office should be changed.
There’s really no room for expansion in the former train station which acts as a borough building.
Tom Connors agreed to send a letter to our state representatives to ask for help in relocating our officers to a better facility.
